Empowering Young Women through Digital Literacy: The Impact of Computer Literacy Camps in West Bengal and Jharkhand
The Computer Literacy Camps organized by Jabala Action Research Organisation in Alipurduar, Murshidabad district of West Bengal, and Dumka district of Jharkhand have the potential to significantly impact the lives of girls and young women in these areas. Through these camps, participants gain digital literacy skills and learn to harness the power of the Internet to improve their lives in various ways. Asked to comment on how digital literacy had affected their lives, young women in Alipurduar recorded short videos about what they had learned and how they use the Internet.

Africa Young Women Beijing+25 Manifesto
The year 2020 marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (1995). Before that, the 1st United Nations (UN) World Conference on Women was held in Mexico in 1975, during the UN International Women’s Year. This Conference was the first of its nature to focus solely on women’s issues and marked a turning point in policy development.
Announcing the NGO CSW65 Young Feminist $5,000 Awards.
In collaboration with Women Have Wings, the NGO CSW Youth Leaders & Young Professionals is delighted to make available five $5,000 grant awards to youth leaders and young professionals who have a project or an idea to advance gender equality in their region. Top projects will be displayed on the NGO CSW65 Virtual Platform.
Winners will be announced on 26 March 2021 during the NGO CSW65 Virtual Forum at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

The UN Secretary-General’s UNiTE Campaign, managed by UN Women, will kick off 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence (25 November-10 December) under the global theme, “Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect!". In a year like no other, violence against women has intensified drastically, and ending this shadow pandemic will require more investment, leadership and action.
